2847 Ton Offered
2847 Ton Sold
First sale since January, therefore, no recent price comparison available.
Demand was good to very good. Hay offered was first and second cutting
alfalfa consigned from eastern Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle, with the
majority testing Good quality. Approximately 50 percent of the alfalfa
sales went to Colorado, with the other half to dairies in the Corn belt
states of Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. This hay auction was a one-day
timed offering where all buyers could bid on the internet. All sales were
FOB the stack on the farm or ranch and sold by the ton in semi-load lots.
All hay has been tested with results available for each lot.
